Metabolism of benzo[a]pyrene and benzo[a]pyrene-7,8-diol by human cytochrome P450 1B1

by James H.Kim, Kevin H.Stansbury, Nigel J.Walker,Michael A.Trush, Paul T.Strickland and Thomas R.Sutter

The authors wish to amend the introduction by changing `(–)-benzo[a]pyrene-7R-trans-7,8-dihydrodiol' to the racemic `(±)-benzo[a]pyrene-7,8-dihydrodiol'. It should be noted, however, that the metabolism experiments were carried out using only the (–)-benzo[a]pyrene-7,8-dihydrodiol optical enantiomer, and not the racemic mixture.
