High-throughput measurement of the Tp53 response to anticancer drugs and random compounds using a stably integrated Tp53-responsive luciferase reporter
The p53R cell line characterized in the publication was derived from a subclone of a population of the cell line Hs766T, but verification of the p53R line reveals matches to the genotype of the p53-wildtype cell line RKO at the KRAS2, ACVR2, TGFBR2, CTNNB1 and BRAF genes, as well as perfect matches to both alleles of three markers in a nine-locus tetranucleotide identity test. Due to microsatellite instability, a complete match to all markers might not be expected in the instance of a subclone of RKO. The parental population of Hs766T matches the differing, known genotype of Hs766T. This does not change any of the conclusions drawn within the paper.
